Program Changes

WIOA Training Program Updates

As we reconcile our expenditures and obligations during the closeout of the program year, WorkSource Cobb is placing a hold on accepting new requests for WIOA training funds beginning July 1, 2021. The hold is anticipated to last through August 13, 2021.

The hold applies to the following training services.

  • Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) - receiving training through a school
  • On-the-Job training (job seeker) - receiving training through an employer
  • On-the-Job training (employer) - hiring an eligible job seeker
  • Work Experience (WEX) - young adults being assigned to work
  • Incumbent Worker Training - employer training for current employees

For individuals that began the application process by uploading required documentation on or before June 30th, the application will be processed.

To be placed on the waiting list, please complete the contact form below. Those on the waiting list will be contacted when the hold is released.

Please note, WorkSource Cobb continues to provide training opportunities through our National Emergency Grants (NEG) Dislocated Worker funding. Operation FastTrack is a training initiative for job seekers receiving unemployment benefits within the last 6 months and unemployed due to COVID-19 ONLY. For more information, click here.

WorkSource Cobb continues to provide career services with one-on-one career assistance, free job readiness workshops, and onsite employer recruitment events. Please explore our website for a calendar of events offered or contact our office. We also provide literacy services for those needing English Second Language (ESL), GED, or online high school diploma programs.
