Jenna's Success Story

"CobbWorks truly worked for me. In the summer of 2025, I applied and was accepted into the CobbWorks B.O.S.S. program, an experience that ended up shaping both my personal and professional growth in ways I didn’t expect. Throughout the program, I developed essential office and workplace professionalism skills—everything from communication and time management to teamwork and accountability. These weren’t just lessons on paper; they were practical tools that I continue to use every day.

By the end of the program, my passion for healthcare was recognized, and I was matched with the H.E.R.O. Institute for an internship opportunity. That placement felt like the perfect fit, allowing me to combine my interests with the skills I had just built. During my time there, I made a conscious effort to apply everything CobbWorks had taught me, and it paid off. I was able to grow more confident in my abilities, contribute meaningfully to the team, and demonstrate my commitment to the field.

Because of that experience and the foundation CobbWorks provided, I was eventually offered a position with the company. Now, as I approach nearly a full year working there, I can honestly say that none of this would have been possible without CobbWorks. The program didn’t just help me find a job—it gave me direction, confidence, and a pathway toward my future career. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and support they gave me at such an important time in my life.

Cathyyulisa F.'s Story

"I am proud to share my journey as a recent graduate of the BOSS Program, where I earned my Certified Clinical Medical Assistant credential. When I first connected with WorkSource Cobb/CobbWorks, I was working part-time and earning just $12 an hour. I knew I needed a pathway to increase my income and move forward in my career, but I wasn’t sure how to get started.

Through the support of WorkSource Cobb/CobbWorks, I was able to enroll in Medical Assistant training, complete my certification, and gain the confidence I needed to pursue a better future. Although I am not yet employed as an MA, earning this certification has already helped me secure a better job as a Patient Coordinator with OPI, giving me more stability while I continue applying for MA positions.

CobbWorks has played a major role in helping me take this next step in my career. They provided the support, resources, and guidance I needed to reach this milestone, and I am truly grateful for everything they have done. Once I obtain a Medical Assistant position, I look forward to following up again and sharing the next part of my journey."
